| The
2008 SteelHawks will take a different approach to fielding a team
than in the past. Tryouts will be held at the Bladerunners Complex
in Harmarville, PA. Tryouts will take place on Sunday, March 9 at
6:00 pm, and Monday, March 10 at 8:00 pm. Three SteelHawks from the
2007 season will be retained and will be on hand to evaluate the talent,
along with several other talent evaluators. Each player will be requested
to bring a light and dark jersey, preferrably without his name on
the back. Players will be given a tryout number so that the team can
be evaluated in a completely unbiased manner. The top 9 players from
this tryout (12 player roster including 3 holdovers from 2007) will
make the roster, with 3 additional players making a practice squad
roster. A $10 tryout fee is due before the first tryout, and rostered
players must pay in full $150 after being named to the team. Practice
squad players will pay $30 and will be able to participate in all
five practices and will be first in line to be called up if players
are needed for games. Players must attend at least one tryout. Contact
