| The
NPHL was a highly competitive league in 2007, with the Allegheny Ambush
winning the championship. In 2008, 5 of 6 teams are expected to return.
These include the Allegheny Ambush, Hotshots Dangle Snipers, Indiana
ThunderCats, Pittsburgh Static Shock, and your Pittsburgh SteelHawks.
In addition, expansion is expected to include the Iceoplex at Southpointe,
the Bridgeville Roller Rink, the RMU Island Sports Center, the Family
Sports Center in Butler, and Center Ice Arena in Delmont. Current
rinks are also likely to contribute some teams to expansion. The league
hopes to be a 10-team, 2-division league for the 2008 season. |
